Roberto Henderson, NCAC II, MS, is the founding Director of Interventions and Beyond, with more than 33 years of experience guiding individuals, families, and organizations through transformational change. His journey began in March 1989, when—after 17 years of struggling with alcoholism, drug addiction, and the fallout that accompanied a dual diagnosis—he walked into his first recovery meeting and committed himself to a new path.
Drawing on his own lived experience, Roberto pursued formal education in human services and psychology. He earned a Drug and Alcohol Counseling certificate and an A.A. in Human Services from community college, followed by a B.A. in Psychology and an M.S. in Clinical Counseling. As he rebuilt his life, he became passionate about blending clinical best practices with the cultural wisdom of his Indigenous heritage.
Robert launched Interventions and Beyond to fill a gap he witnessed firsthand: the need for holistic, culturally informed support that carries people from crisis to sustained well-being. His programs—from one-on-one interventions to large-scale corporate workshops and keynote addresses—reflect a deep understanding of addiction recovery, mental health, and organizational culture.
Today, Robert partners with treatment centers, correctional facilities, Fortune 500 companies, and community organizations. He leverages his expertise in addiction recovery, anger management, family systems, and leadership development to deliver immersive workshops, executive keynotes, and tailored consulting that produce measurable results.
Outside his professional life, Roberto is the proud father of three children and grandfather to five. His ongoing commitment to personal growth, cultural integrity, and community resilience continues to inspire everyone he serves.

Su camino comenzó en marzo de 1989 cuando, tras 17 años de lucha contra el alcoholismo, la drogadicción y las consecuencias de un diagnóstico dual, asistió a su primera reunión de recuperación y decidió comprometerse con una nueva vida.
Apoyándose en su propia experiencia, Roberto se formó académicamente en servicios humanos y psicología. Obtuvo un certificado como Consejero de Drogas y Alcohol y un A.A. en Servicios Humanos en un colegio comunitario, para luego obtener una licenciatura en Psicología y una maestría en Consejería Clínica. Al reconstruir su vida, descubrió su vocación de combinar las mejores prácticas clínicas con la sabiduría cultural de su herencia indígena.
Roberto creó Interventions and Beyond para cubrir una necesidad que él mismo presenció: un apoyo integral y culturalmente sensible que acompañara a las personas desde la crisis hasta el bienestar sostenido.
